ICC T20 World Cup: India to stay in CSK’s team hotel

‘Th8 Palm’ is the location that BCCI has selected for the Indian team to stay for the duration of the T20 World Cup.

With the ICC T20 World Cup all set to begin right after the final of IPL 2021, the Indian team will reportedly be staying at Chennai Super Kings’ team hotel.

India’s first game of the World Cup is against Pakistan on October 24 as they face an intense battle right from the get-go. The team will be joined by the support staff on October 2 in the UAE. 

Various sources said, “The Indian team is likely to stay at Th8 Palm. The deal is yet to be finalized, but this one has been zeroed in on. As for the coaching staff, they are set to arrive around October 2 and undergo six-day quarantine before they can be a part of the T20 World Cup bubble.” 

After facing their arch-rivals in their first fixture of the tournament, the Indian team will face New Zealand and Afghanistan on October 31 and November 3, respectively. 

The tournament commences with Oman taking on Papua New Guinea in Round 1 Group B on October 17. Bangladesh and Scotland will play in the evening from Group B. Group A teams, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Netherlands, and Namibia will be playing the following day with Round 1 matches in progress till October 22.
