HSBC China ropes in Formula 1 driver Zhou Guanyunew as brand ambassador

HSBC itself had surfaced from China to become a major player on the global banking stage.

The financial services holding company, HSBC Bank (China) has announced the Chinese Formula 1 driver, Zhou Guanyunew as the new brand ambassador.

According to the statement revealing the deal, it exemplifies HSBC’s support for the youth of today in China, including its support for young athletes pursuing international success.

The press release highlighted numerous elements of his story that HSBC found appealing, including the driver’s self-belief, aspiration, and hard work, as well as his success in international sport.

Moreover, on the other hand, HSBC itself had surfaced from China to become a major player on the global banking stage. In China, the firm started a tagline last year, ‘seeing new possibilities’ which symbolises an optimistic perspective and a focus on the future.

The press release added, “HSBC is taking on the role of building on the past and bridging the east and west, and actively supports and participates in China’s higher-level opening up.”

HSBC China’s President and Chief Executive, Wang Yunfengadded, said, “By inviting Zhou Guanyu as the brand spokesperson of HSBC China, we hope to inspire more young people to be fearless…dare to chase their dreams, and provide support for them to realise their dreams on a wider stage.”

Zhou Guanyu said, “It is an honour to work with a partner like HSBC, which has both local [connection] and international vision, to stimulate potential, exceed goals, and show the style of China’s new generation on the world stage.”
