The sports data and technology company, Genius Sports has announced a multi-year agreement with the national professional basketball league of Vietnam, the Vietnam Pro Basketball League (VBA).
Through its official data tools, live streaming distribution, and integrity services, the data and technology company will support the league’s next phase of international expansion while protecting its contests from the possibility of match-fixing.

The VBA, the first national Men’s Pro Basketball League in the nation, will specifically let Genius Sports collect and disseminate its official live data and video streams with its network of international partners.
Furthermore, the brand will offer round-the-clock monitoring equipment that employs customised algorithms to automatically flag suspicious betting behaviour in order to protect Vietnam basketball from the potential of match-fixing.
Genius Sports, which already collaborated with more than 200 basketball leagues and federations, will supply FIBA LiveStats to record authentic play-by-play statistics on each match, enabling the VBA’s live broadcasts, scoreboards, websites, and other fan-facing platforms.

In a similar vein, Genius Sports strengthens its collaboration with the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) in order to introduce an integrity programme to counter the dangers of match-fixing. The business now offers the league forensic information and analysis on international betting in its tournaments.
