FIFA+ to stream Qatar 2022 in Brazil

All 64 world championship games will be aired live on the over-the-top (OTT) platform for no cost.

The global body for football, FIFA, has revealed plans to stream the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 in Brazil through its own FIFA+ DTC streaming platform.

All 64 world championship games will be aired live on the over-the-top (OTT) platform for no cost, which will also be provided with local commentary and match evaluation conveyed in Portuguese for Brazilian fans.

Casimiro, a Brazilian Twitch streamer, will also have access to stream one match from the contest every day, for a total of 22 games during Qatar 2022. Casimiro will be able to stream the contests on all of his digital platforms, such as YouTube and Twitch. The matches showcasing the Brazilian national team, the semi-finals, and the final are included in this package. FIFA+ and LiveMode will co-produce the content creator’s broadcasts.

In addition, the soccer legend, Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima, will collaborate with Fifa+ to create content for his multiplatform network Ronaldo TV. Exclusive interviews, match reactions, and highlights will be featured on the network, along with cross-publicity of FIFA+’s Portuguese language content.

The announcement has no bearing on Globo’s local broadcast alliance for the contest, as the media conglomerate will continue to broadcast the World Cup through its commercial networks and digital products.
