FC Barcelona, SK Enmove sign partnership expansion

The original agreement covered China, Vietnam, South Korea and Thailand.

FC Barcelona, the LaLiga giant, have enhanced their regional partnership with the Korean lubricant company, SK Enmove.

In this development, SK Enmove has become the official engine or official lubricant of FC Barcelona in the UAE, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain along with the existing territories, through to the 2023/24 season. The initial partnership between the two parties involved took place in 2018.

The original agreement covered China, Vietnam, South Korea and Thailand, with the association later expanding into Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, among others.

The partnership has been enhanced on the back of a successful stint in the above-mentioned regions from the original agreement along with the Blaugrana’s influence being a catalyst in SK ZIC’s extensive brand outreach in key markets globally. This fruitful collaboration was helmed by FC Barcelona’s Asia Pacific regional headquarters in Hong Kong.

In this arrangement, SK Enmove utilised the social media appeal of FC Barcelona by posting content in local languages on WeChat, Weibo and Facebook.

Prior to this partnership, FC Barcelona also signed the dotted lines with Sebang, ZENB and Grupo Bimbo in the past couple of months.
