GWave, the renowned broadband network from Goa, has inked a partnership extension with the Indian Super League (ISL) team, FC Goa. In this agreement, GWave will prolong to be the team’s internet partner for yet another season of Indian top-flight football.

SportsMint Media reached out to Mansoor Ali R. Muzawar, Sr. Manager-Marketing at GWave, who revealed that the company uses the culture of football to bring the community together and empower youth to go out there and be the agents of change. Ali went on to unveil a few more bewitching insights into GWave’s partnership with FC Goa.

1. What was the thought process behind associating with FC Goa?

FC Goa sets itself apart from its competitors by living with the philosophy of developing its own and promoting from within. Through various talent pathways, their focus is not only on developing great players but also great members of the community.

2. Does being from Goa was the only reason for signing up with the Goa-based ISL team?

Goa is one of the traditional powerhouse regions of Indian football and was bound to be one of the cities to participate in the Indian Super League, so we thought no other better team to participate with than our very own home team FC Goa.

3. What are GWave’s expectations from this renewal?

We’ve had the opportunity to work with some amazing organisations in the sphere of football and sustainable development along with FC Goa and look forward to doing the same.

4. Did the popularity of football in Goa also motivate GWave to partner up with FC Goa?

As a result of our participation in the ISL we have developed a very healthy relationship with different brands from around the state and our brand which was recognized locally is now recognised at a state level. We genuinely thank FC Goa for it.

5. Will GWave prolong the association for the next season as well?

We use the shared culture of football to bring the community together and empower youth to go out there and be the agents of change and would like to be a part of FC Goa throughout.
