Riyadh Season, the expansive entertainment festival hosted by Saudi Arabia’s capital city, has solidified its commitment to hosting premier sporting events with a renewed partnership with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
The agreement has guaranteed at least one UFC event during the 2024-2025 season, building upon prior successful collaborations between the two organisations.
The expanded partnership extends beyond the octagon. PowerSlap, a competitive slapping property owned by the UFC president, Dana White, will also hold its first-ever Saudi Arabian event under this new agreement.
Further strengthening its ties to combat sports, Riyadh Season secured sponsorship rights for UFC 306, scheduled for September 14, 2024, at The Sphere in Las Vegas.
While specifics remain undisclosed, Riyadh Season also teased an expansion of its partnership with the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). An official announcement regarding the enhanced deal is expected later this month, sparking speculation of a potential major WWE event being hosted in Riyadh. The Royal Rumble or WrestleMania are events frequently mentioned as possibilities.
This move signifies Riyadh Season’s continued investment in attracting high-profile sporting events. The renewed UFC partnership and the secured sponsorship solidify their position as a major player in the global entertainment landscape.
