Disney Star ropes in nine sponsors for upcoming Asia Cup 2023

For India vs Pakistan matches, a spot buy for 10 seconds costs INR 25 lakh, while the pricing for ads for non-Indian fixtures lasting 10 seconds is INR 2.3 lakh.

One of the leading broadcasting conglomerates, Disney Star has roped in nine broadcast and online streaming sponsors for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023.

Charged by Thums Up, Nerolac Paint+, Amazon Pay, Jindal Panther, My11Circle, MRF, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5, Wild Stone and Thums Up have joined forces for the highly anticipated competition.

As per reports, Disney Star has requested INR 26 crore for the co-presenting category on television and INR 30 crore for Disney+ Hotstar. Industry insiders also estimate that the associate sponsorship for Star Sports would cost INR 19.66 crore, while the broadcaster is asking for INR 18 crore for the “powered by” branding on Disney+ Hotstar.

Disney+ Hotstar has three sponsorship categories: co-presenting (INR 30 crore), powered by (INR 18 crore), and associate sponsorship (INR 12 crore). The broadcaster estimates that associate sponsorship will reach around 60–70 million people, powered by sponsorship will reach 90–100 million people, and co-presenting sponsorship will reach 120–140 million people.

The 2023 Asia Cup, which will be co-hosted by Sri Lanka and Pakistan, is all set to begin on August 30 and run until September 17, 2023. The Men in Blue will try to go all out this year to win the prestigious cup after a lacklustre performance the year before. The seven-time Asia Cup winners now have a full roster and are the favourites to win the event after the best Indian players overcame their injuries.
