Disney+ Hotstar is in for gathering some record-shattering viewership due to the summit competition in the sport taking place after four years that too in the heartland of cricket.

The world is all set to witness the biggest cricketing event of the year, the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. A total of 10 cricketing nations will be competing in India for the ultimate glory of becoming the World Champions of the 50-over format. The high-octane tournament is all set to commence on October 5, where the last edition’s finalists, England and New Zealand will be facing off against each other in the inaugural fixture. 

Cities such as Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Pune, and Dharamsala are the host cities. Other than these cities, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, and the capital city of Telangana will be serving as the venues for the warm-up games.  

The biggest cricket stadium in the world, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will be the venue for the opening and the grand finale, which are scheduled for October 5 and November 19, respectively, and will also become the epicentre of the biggest cricketing clash, India vs Pakistan, on October 14. 

Disney+ Hotstar, the official digital streaming provider of the tournament, has now come to the fore to give proper coverage of this year’s biggest sporting extravaganza. The premier OTT platform will be providing free streaming of all the clashes. It also includes the special feature of a data saver, that will help the viewers to stream the matches in the best quality without utilising much data. 

The digital platform also released a new advertising campaign featuring the 1983 World Cup-winning captain, Kapil Dev, to make people aware of its new offerings.
