Following this development, the cruise line company will continue to have the title of the official global cruise partner of the Blues until the end of 2024.
As the partnership between these two was signed in 2018, MSC Cruises has seen a year and year increase in its brand awareness among the 2.6 million Chelsea fan base present in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
While at the start of the partnership only 14 per cent of the club fans were familiar with the cruise line company. But since its deal with Chelsea, the number has gone up to 85 per cent as the first term of the partnership concluded.
Speaking on the occasion, Chelsea chief executive Guy Laurence said: “We are thrilled to extend our partnership at this exciting period for the travel industry. We have worked closely with MSC over the past three years to support them in their strategic business objectives and this extension is testament to the best-in-class activations we have delivered with them to meet and surpass those goals.”

Adding to it, Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, said: “The continuation of the partnership is further evidence of our commitment to the UK & Irish markets which are a key part of our global growth plan. I am pleased to say that the Chelsea FC partnership will continue to be important in our goal to build further positive brand association as well as introduce our distinctive cruise experience to new audiences both in the UK & Ireland, and globally.”
Lastly, Antonio Paradiso, managing director of MSC Cruises UK & Ireland said, “Despite the challenges of the pandemic the partnership has been a great success and I am thrilled to be extending it for another three years.”

MSC Cruises has also focused on growing its digital presence with Chelsea. The two entities created engaging content to promote the cruise holidays to new and existing audiences.
Apart from that, the cruise line company also offered great opportunities to its customers, like zoom calls with Chelsea players, sending out tickets for the Chelsea home games in the Premier League. It also offered a chance to meet the Chelsea men’s team stars.
On the field, Chelsea will be facing Leicester City in the Premier League on 20th November. The Blues are currently leading the league table, collecting 26 points in their last 11 matches.
