Chile’s leading television channel, Canal 13 has secured a multi-year extension of its broadcast partnership with Extreme E, the electric off-road racing series.
The agreement has ensured continued coverage of Extreme E races for Chilean viewers.
El 13 will deliver a comprehensive content package to its audience. This includes live broadcasts of races, along with in-depth previews and magazine shows dedicated to the series. The content will be available in both Spanish and English, catering to a wider range of viewers in Chile.
Additionally, the Chilean television network will complement its race coverage with exclusive behind-the-scenes content that delves into environmental issues, aligning with the electric off-road racing series’ mission to promote awareness and inspire action on environmental solutions.
Speaking on the renewed partnership, Ali Russell, Managing Director, Extreme E, said, “I’m thrilled that we will continue to bring our sport-for-purpose series to Canal 13’s digital audience in Chile. Our broadcast package has gained immense popularity since its inception, which is evident from our impressive audience numbers. With Canal 13 on our territories roster, we can continue to share not only the thrilling race action that Extreme E provides, but also the broader messages of our championship around electrification, environment and equality.”
Canal 13, also known as El 13, is a major television network in Chile. Founded in 1959, it’s the second-oldest station in the country. The free-to-air television network offers a variety of content, including news (T13), sports (Deportes 13), and entertainment programs and also has sister channels with specific focuses, like cultural programming on Canal 13C.

Discovery, and RTVE, the international off-road racing series brings the thrills of electric off-road racing to a growing international audience.
