The Indian apex cricket governing entity, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has set an INR 350 crore per year fee for the Indian Premier League‘s (IPL) title sponsorship rights, according to media sources.
It has been stated that the value of the IPL media rights for five years is INR 1,750 crore.
The cricket body has also requested bidders to submit bids for 84 and 94 matches at INR 375 crore and INR 400 crore as the base price. According to a media report citing a source, the bid would be finalised based on the aggregate worth of 74 matches.
Recently, the BCCI also invited proposals from reputable companies for the title sponsor rights of the IPL for the forthcoming cycle.
Furthermore, rumours have suggested that BCCI is not likely to permit Chinese companies to submit bids for the IPL title sponsorship.
