AFC Bournemouth land three-year pact with IFX Payments

IFX Payments is set to serve as AFC Bournemouth's official money transfer partner.

The Premier League club, AFC Bournemouth have announced a sponsorship deal with the leading provider of global payments, IFX Payments.

Following this new three-year arrangement, the brand is set to serve as the club’s official money transfer partner.

Through this deal, hundreds of companies will be welcomed to a range of events and activities during the season courtesy of IFX Payments, which is one of the founding partners of The Net, the free-to-join commercial wing of AFC Bournemouth.

The fintech business will serve as the primary sponsor of all AFC Bournemouth transfer content for the ensuing three years, encompassing social media and particular in-game visuals.

Additionally, the Vitality Stadium, which is able to accommodate more than 10,000 people, will have special LED advertisements for the fintech pioneer both on the pitch side and on the new raised tier LED.

AFC Bournemouth, Finance Director David Holiday, said, “We are always striving to look forward and find ways to transform ourselves as a club, both on and off the pitch. Uniting with IFX Payments is part of this vision, and we see them taking our money transfer activities to another level. We welcome IFX Payments into the AFC Bournemouth family and are eager to progress with them over the next three years.”

Will Marwick, CEO, IFX Payments, said, “Joining forces with AFC Bournemouth and becoming their official money transfer partner illustrates the profound impact we are having across numerous markets in providing accessible, frictionless and secure payment services. Our core partnership focus is to work with organisations that share our mission of placing customer satisfaction above all else, and we are honoured to be welcomed into the AFC Bournemouth family, who we feel embody these values. We cannot wait to support the Cherries during their Premier League campaign and wish the team every success.”

Prior to this deal, the Kings Park-based club also announced sponsorship deals with Vitality as an official wellness partner and Dun & Bradstreet as an official training wear partner.

AFC Bournemouth had a dismal season on the pitch in the previous top-flight season, finishing 15th on the points table with 39 points. Nevertheless, the team will be looking for a significant turnaround in the forthcoming season. They take on West Ham United in their season opener on Saturday, August 12 at 12:30 AM IST.
