T20 World Cup 2021: Disney+Hotstar confirms 10 sponsors

India will face off against Pakistan in their first match of the T20 World Cup.

The IPL 2021 saw the live streaming partner Disney+Hotstar earn a heap load of revenue through advertising. The revenue is bound to sore upwards in the upcoming days. With the commencement of the T20 World Cup from 17th October in the UAE, Disney+Hotstar have already booked advertising worth Rs 275 to 300 Cr, according to the available reports.

Hotstar, which is an OTT platform of the Star sports network will be live streaming the T20 World Cup matches in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bangla, Kannada, Marathi & Malayalam languages. This will surely cater to a larger audience, which will bring in more advertisers considering the sheer amount of audience glued to their screens.

Apart from Hotstar, the official broadcaster Star Sports network has also managed to sign 14 on-air sponsors for the live telecast of the T20 World Cup. The likes of Dream11, Byju’s, Havells, Jio Mart and others have already inked an agreement with the broadcaster as the associate on-air sponsors.

The host for the upcoming T20 World Cup, India will be up against Pakistan in a high octane match on 24th October. Star sports in accordance with the upcoming games in the T20 World Cup has planned multi-language coverage of the live event in eight different languages.

A total of 45 matches will be played in 29 days in the UAE and Oman from October 17. The final match of the T20 World Cup will be held in Dubai on November 14. The hosts India, along with England and Pakistan are seen as favourites to win the title, however, it will be interesting to see how the tournament shapes up. Virat Kohli, who will be stepping down from the T20I captaincy after the World Cup will hope to claim the coveted trophy for India for the first time since 2007.
