West Ham United signs an improved deal with Bartercard

West Ham United has expanded its association with the trading platform Bartercard. The new terms of the deal will see Bartercard becoming the official sponsor of all teams at the club.

Initially, Bartercard had signed a sponsorship agreement with West Ham in August 2020 to become the Women’s team official Sock Tie sponsor.

Bartercard will now be seen on the left sleeve of kits at the academy and first-team level. It will also be visible on the LED boards and big screens at London Stadium before the Hammers’ home Premier League fixtures.

This deal will also see the two organizations working together towards building fan engagement activities, such as the launch of a Virtual Mascot Matchday Experience.

At the time of signing the contract with the Women’s team, Bartercard’s managing director Chris Kirby indicated the brand was looking to capitalize on the B2B networking opportunities the association with West Ham would bring.

West Hams’ chief commercial officer Nathan Thompson said, “In times such as these, it is important for all businesses, including West Ham United, to develop new and innovative ways of building strategic working relationships.”
