The Premier League club, West Ham United FC have inked a partnership with Intuit QuickBooks, a global provider of financial accounting software for businesses.
As part of the deal, the firm has been named the team’s official accounting software partner.
In accordance with the collaboration, the two entities will concentrate on promoting SME growth within the club’s home audience. Intuit QuickBooks will use its financial management software to promote local businesses.
The association will provide brand opportunities, including matchday, social, and digital rights. It will also allow businesses within the PL club’s supporters to interact and seek mutually beneficial economic prospects.
Nathan Thompson, Chief Commercial Officer at West Ham United, said, “We are delighted to partner with Intuit QuickBooks, a brand globally renowned for working with businesses of all sizes. East London has always had a proud business heritage – from the local market traders who are pillars of their communities to now also being home to the modern global financial district of Canary Wharf. We are delighted that Intuit QuickBooks recognise the significant opportunity this partnership provides them and we are excited to create new pathways to sustained success for our fans and their businesses.
“Our club thrives on the challenge of continuous improvement both on and off the pitch which aligns with Intuit QuickBooks’ ambition to support the growth challenges of their customers. This partnership promises to leave a profound positive impact for our fanbase over the coming years.”
Since its founding in 1992, Intuit QuickBooks has expanded to become one of the world’s most well-known providers of accounting software, with more than 6.5 million users.
Michael Benjamin, Marketing Director at Intuit QuickBooks, commented, “It’s an incredible honour to come together with such a huge, historic club where tradition, passion and community are at its foundation. West Ham United and Intuit QuickBooks have a shared vision of championing dreams. For QuickBooks, this is reflected in our goal to hero business owners to do things differently and create something unique, which can power prosperity around the world and a better future for all.
“West Ham United very much embodies these principles. From its iconic Vice Chairman, Baroness Karren Brady who is herself a champion to business leaders, to becoming one of the fastest growing football brands that defied the odds to win the UEFA Europa Conference League. We look ahead with excitement to how this partnership will inspire our respective fans and customers.”
This is not the company’s first sporting collaboration. In 2021, Intuit signed an agreement with the National Basketball Association (NBA)franchise Los Angeles Clippers to own the official naming rights of the Intuit Dome.
