Warner Bros. Discovery renews broadcast deal with Formula E

Since 2015, Warner Bros. Discovery has been a broadcast partner of Formula E.

The multinational media and entertainment company, Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) has inked an extended broadcast partnership with the electric single-seater racing series Formula E, covering 50 European markets.

Since 2015, WBD has been a broadcast partner of Formula E, and the current agreement is expected to last until at least 2027.

WBD will broadcast its coverage of Formula E on its several streaming platforms, including Max, Discovery+, Eurosport Extra, and the Eurosport app, in addition to its Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 channels.

Additionally, WBD will be Formula E’s official broadcast home in eight European nations, including Italy, where the racing series will be televised live for the first time since 2020.

Denmark, Finland, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Spain, Turkey, and the UK are WBD’s other exclusive territories. These areas are reached through the broadcaster’s TNT Sports channel, which in December signed an agreement to exclusively air all races through the 2024 season.

Trojan Paillot, WBD Sports Europe’s Senior Vice President for rights acquisitions and syndications, said, “We are proud to house one of the most comprehensive multi-market motorsport portfolios anywhere which delivers year-round action to millions of fans across Europe.”
