The Vietnamese broadcasting company, Viettel Telecom has acquired rights to the premier football competition, the UEFA EURO 2024.
Following the acquisition, Viettel Telecom’s TV360 will be streaming the coverage of the marquee football event, which will happen in June 2024 in Germany.
The pact will allow the Vietnamese streaming platform to hold the broadcasting rights to the premier UEFA competition and its qualifying rounds for the first time in Vietnam.
The tournament, one of the world’s biggest football competitions based on viewing numbers, will be exclusively shown and distributed by TV360 on Vietnam’s overall television networks and social media platforms next summer.
With its agreement with UEFA, Viettel Telecom aims to provide a “full tournament experience” and bolster its message for its next growth phase, which places technology at the centre of the viewing experience.
Guy-Laurent Epstein, Marketing Director of UEFA, said, “We are delighted to collaborate with Viettel as the home of UEFA national team competitions in Vietnam.”
He further added, “Vietnamese fans will be able to fully enjoy the UEFA European Championship qualifying matches, UEFA Nations League matches for six consecutive years (2023-2028), and, especially, the UEFA EURO 2024 finals with the highest quality on Viettel’s digital platforms, TV360 and Viettel TV.”
