The Hundred pens down a long-term deal with Cazoo

The Hundred has signed a multi-year partnership with Cazoo. Cazoo is one of the leading online car retailers and the fastest-growing digital business in the United Kingdom. The announcement came on December 1 when the board declared its association with Cazoo for The Hundred on ECB’s website. The car brand would be the principal sponsor of cricket’s latest format.

The Hundred is the most exciting and latest format invented by the English and Wales Cricket board. The format is simple yet complex, an innings would consist of 15 overs with 14 overs of 6 balls and the last over of the innings will have 10 balls.

The Hundred was first announced by ECB in 2019 and was scheduled for 2020. However, the tournament was postponed due to the pandemic. The lucrative tournament is now gearing up to make debut in the summer of 2021.

Some of the best players across the world will be taking part in this tournament. Along with men, a similar tournament will be organized for women too. This tournament will have eight teams representing cities such as Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham, Birmingham, Cardiff, Southampton, and London.

The Hundred will have 68 matches played all across the United Kingdom which will be broadcasted live on Sky Sports and the BBC.
