St. Louis City SC ink collaboration with Lou Fusz Automotive Network

The plaza will enhance the stadium district's interactive spectator experience on matchdays and off.

The Major League Soccer (MLS) team, St. Louis City SC have announced a new partnership with STLMade firm and long-time St. Louis staple, Lou Fusz Automotive Network.

With this collaboration, Lou Fusz was named as the club’s official automotive partner, along with the sponsor of both Lou Fusz Plaza and the club’s southeastern entry gate, the Lou Fusz Automotive Network Gate, establishing a long-term alliance based on providing the entire St. Louis region.

St. City SC, CEO & President Carolyn Kindle Betz, said, “We are so excited to announce Lou Fusz Automotive Network as our club’s latest founding partner. I’m so proud of the new partnership with Lou Fusz, a family-owned business that is deeply committed to our community. With our shared pride in St. Louis, we’ll offer fans in our city a gathering space in the front yard of Centene Stadium that brings people together through the power of soccer.”

The 125,500-square-foot plaza on Centene Stadium’s eastern side, Lou Fusz Plaza, greets St. Louisans from all over the region. The place will also include a community gathering space, spanning an entire city block, and will include over 24,000 square feet of greenery, 76 trees, and 1,000 linear feet of trail running along 20th Street. The path is part of the Bricklin Greenway, a plotted biking and walking path that will connect Forest Park to the Gateway Arch. The parking garage flanking Lou Fusz Plaza in the neighbourhood will have 150 bike parking spaces.

The plaza will enhance the stadium district’s interactive spectator experience on matchdays and off. The durable built-in concession stands at Lou Fusz Plaza will have serving potential both outside and inside the stadium, with food options. Along 20th Street, devoted power sources for food trucks, and also green space accommodation power and data, might very well promote up to eight supplemental portable concession stands.

Lou Fusz Automotive Network President & CEO Randy Fusz, said, “Though we are an automotive network, soccer runs deep through our veins, as we’ve had a presence in youth soccer throughout the St. Louis region for nearly 30 years. Together with St. Louis CITY SC, we’ll work to build a stronger and healthier community in an amazing soccer city.”

Thousands of fans will be drawn to the space via pre-match activations, which will include music, games, youth activities, food, merchandise, and vehicle displays. On non-matchdays, the team plans to host watch parties, movie nights, festivals, and other events.
