Indian social media and social networking service ShareChat announced its partnership deal with TNPL, also known as the Tamil Nadu Premier League. The deal will see ShareChat become the official content partner of the T20 League.
The company will be sharing exclusive behind the scenes coverage and highlights of the T20 league on their social media platform.
ShareChat is an established platform with about 180 million users and the deal with the TNPL will give the users a chance to cheer for their favourite teams and players right from their streaming platform.
Shashank Shekhar, the director of ShareChat said, “TNPL has a huge viewership and ShareChat’s exclusive partnership will bring fans closer to their favorite teams and players. We understand the emotional connection that our community has with cricket and are equally excited to join hands with TNPL. ShareChat has consistently endeavored to strengthen its content offering across genres with sports being a key focus and this is another effort to enhance our community’s experience on the platform.”
The current season of TNPL started on July 19, 2021, with the final game to be played on August 15. Chepauk Super Gillies are the defending champions in the current season with Ruby Trichy Warriors leading the table of the 2021 TNPL season with eight points in six games.
R S Ramasaamy, the Secretary of the Tamil Nadu cricket association said, “This association with ShareChat is another attempt to make TNPL accessible to newer platforms and in turn expand the reach of the event.”
