The Formula 1 team, BWT Alpine F1 Team has secured a partnership renewal with the renowned progressive lens developer, Shamir.
With this renewal, Shamir continues to be the official optical performance partner of BWT Alpine F1 team.

After four fruitful years of engagement, Alpine and Shamir have reinforced their commitment with this multi-year collaboration.
Using Shamir’s vision performance labs, the BWT Alpine F1 Team and Shamir have carried out several experiments and activities. Shamir, a member of the EssilorLuxottica Group, played a key role in assessing the team’s requirements for superior visual performance and provided the most cutting-edge safety gear and lenses for the best possible vision.
To enhance driving performance and safety in low light and daytime situations, Shamir also unveiled SHAMIR DRIVER INTELLIGENCE in 2023. This technology allows for sharper, clearer vision with reduced glare.
With their extraordinarily broad and crisp visual fields and improved colour contrasts, these cutting-edge lenses assist drivers in adapting to changing lighting conditions, lessening eye strain, and speeding up reaction times—all of which contribute to improved performance on the road. Direct input from the BWT Alpine F1 Team was integrated throughout the development process.
