Seven Network to collaborate with Twitter in covering Tokyo Olympics 2020

The collaboration with Twitter will grant access for everyone to watch snippets and highlights from the biggest events of the Olympics.

Australian Free-to-air television network, the Seven Network announced their collaboration with Twitter and both the companies will work together to provide coverage for the viewers of the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

As part of the collaboration, Seven Network will be sharing snippets from the Olympics and major highlights on their OTT service ‘7Plus’ and the same will be shared on Twitter.

The collaboration with Twitter will grant access for everyone to watch snippets and highlights from the biggest events of the Olympics whereas 7plus will provide coverage and minute details of the events in Australia.

It is also being said that the Tokyo Olympics 2020 has the highest number of media rights distributed amongst many companies even in-house media houses, the Olympics being held indoors with fans not being allowed in the stadiums, OTT streaming services will play a huge role in streaming the Olympics as this will be the only way fans will be to watch and enjoy the Tokyo Olympics 2020.

The Seven Network will also be looking to do the same for the Australian viewers and by collaborating with Twitter, they can increase their global outreach with Twitter being a huge platform with millions of users.

In addition, Seven’s Tokyo 2020 partners will be included into Twitter content in the form of in-stream advertisements, live stream sponsorship and branded content.
