The UK-based cricket data analytics company, CricViz has secured a partnership with the marquee South African T20 competition, the SA20.
Through this deal, the SA20 digital platforms will feature CricViz data, visualizations, and analysis to enhance the audience’s understanding of the league.
Along with fan engagement tools, the data will power SA20’s new “match centre,” which was developed to launch with the competition’s second season. The deal as a multi-year pact will be active till 2026.
Speaking on this collaboration, Michael Kivido, Managing Director, CricViz, commented, “Utilizing the world’s largest cricket database, our insights, analytics, and data science models will bring new levels of engagement to the competition’s growing and diverse fan base. We look forward to deepening our relationship with SA20 over the coming years.”
Graeme Smith, SA20 Commissioner, said, “CricViz’s leading data and analytics tools will enable us to educate and inspire new fans while adding deeper insight for our existing audience.”
In order to improve cricket, CricViz was established in 2015. The organisation has created the world’s largest database on cricket for the past eight years and has created several distinct predictive models that cover every facet of the game. It is predicated on an advanced algorithm that uses the outcomes of every significant T20 match ever played to estimate the expected result based on any given match scenario.
