Robi Axiata bags Bangladesh cricket team sponsorship

The deal stipulates that Robi Axiata would pay Tk 50 crore to the Bangladesh Cricket Board.

Robi Axiata Limited, a prominent player in Bangladesh’s telecommunications sector, has clinched a sponsorship deal with the Bangladeshi apex cricket governing entity, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

The deal, which is valid until July 2027, stipulates that the telecommunications giant would pay Tk 50 crore to the Bangladeshi governing body of cricket.

This substantial investment underscores Robi’s dedication to supporting the nation’s cricketing endeavours and development within Bangladesh’s sporting scene. Robi is well-positioned to open up several opportunities for both parties by using cricket’s widespread popularity to engage and inspire communities throughout Bangladesh.

BCB CEO, Nizamuddin Chowdhury, said, “BCB is delighted to have Robi as the sponsor of our national cricket team. We hope Bangladesh cricket would reach new heights through this partnership.”
