Puneri Paltan represents the city of Pune, Maharashtra in the Pro Kabaddi League. It has been associated with India’s top franchise kabaddi league since its inception in 2014. The franchise is owned by Insurekot Sports Private Limited, Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex has been named as the team’s home ground.
In its first season, Puneri Paltan finished last in the league table, collecting 17 points from their 14 league games. In the previous season, the team finished 10th in the league table, collecting 48 points from 22 games. The Pune-based franchise is still unsuccessful in lifting the PKL trophy, however, they have come close quite a few times to lay their hands on the top prize.

Puneri Paltan has roped in the German manufacturer of chainsaws and other handheld power equipment, STIHL as its co-partner for the ongoing season of the PKL. Adding to it, the German manufacturer will also have its presence on the sleeve of the player jersey.
The Pune-based kabaddi franchise added another name to their co-partner list as the side joined hands with India’s biggest sports gaming platform, Vision11.
Moving forward, Schaeffler, which is a German manufacturer of the rolling element bearings for automotive, aerospace, and industrial uses, has been assigned as the associate and powered by sponsor of Puneri Paltan. The brand will also be having its presence on the back of the player jersey this season.
Junglee Rummy is an online rummy platform that has been labelled with the title of skill partner of Puneri Paltan and will have its logo on the sleeve, sharing the space with STIHL. The Indian paint company, Indigo Paints has joined the side as the main sponsor this season and will be promoting its logo by placing it in front of the player jersey.
That’s not all, as Puneri Paltan has 92.7 BIG FM as their radio partner for season eight. Fairplay News has also been named as a sponsor of the Pune-based franchise and has placed its logo on the shoulders of the player jersey. Lastly, Shiv-Naresh Sports continues to be the kit partner of Puneri Platan, the brand formed an association with the team in the previous season.
Puneri Paltan lost to Dabang Delhi on Thursday in its first game of the edition.
