PepsiCo to remain global sponsor of UEFA Champions League for another three years: Reports

This new arrangement between Pepsico and UEFA Champions League will reportedly span from season 2024/25 to 2026/27.

The soft drinks giant, PepsiCo has reportedly signed a three-year partnership extension with the prestigious club football competition, UEFA Champions League.

According to SportBusiness, the brand will now serve as a global sponsor for the UEFA Champions League. Furthermore, this new arrangement will span from the season 2024/25 to the 2026/27 Champions League.

The group stage of the competition will grow from 32 to 36 clubs from this year onwards, as well as from six matchday rounds to eight. The Champions League group stage will have 36 teams competing in a single league under the “Swiss format.” The teams placing ninth through 24th will participate in a two-legged play-off to ensure their ticket to the competition’s last 16 teams, while the top eight teams will qualify outright for the knockout stage.
