Lintas C:EX Entertainment partners up with Ravi Shastri

The series is expected to premiere in the second half of the current year.

Lintas C:EX Entertainment, the MullenLowe Lintas Group’s recently announced Content Business vertical, has partnered up with Ravi Shastri for an unscripted series, led by Yogesh Manwani. The series will be hosted by the former Indian national cricket team head coach and prominent cricket commentator.

Ravi Shastri, the man who quoted this famous line “Dhoni finishes off in style. A magnificent strike into the crowd! India lift the World Cup after 28 years!” during the 2011 World Cup finals; will make his debut in the world of streaming entertainment through a premium unscripted series, which is a first-of-its-kind. This program will definitely bring his delightful, colourful personality to life, as well as show the audience a side of him that they haven’t seen before.

“I have been keen for a while to explore something that is exciting, disruptive and goes beyond cricket. From the day Amer shared this show idea with me, I knew immediately that this was it. I am looking forward to this new innings and creating a world-class series with a passionate and talented team of professionals,” commented Shastri, when asked why he decided to enter the world of streaming entertainment.

Group CCO and Chairman of MullenLowe Lintas Group, Amer Jaleel, said, “Since we began Lintas C:EXEntertainment last year, we have been exploring ideas that resonate with our vision and help set new benchmarks in the premium content space. The concept of this global unscripted series with Ravi is a testament of that vision. We are glad that Ravi shares our belief and passion for this concept and got on board right away. We are excited to partner with him and there could not have been a better start to our innings in the premium content business.”

This concept of this show was created and constructed with the streaming audience in mind, and it is now being developed creatively. The series is expected to premiere in the second half of the current year.
