ISL 2020/21 Sponsors Watch: Hyderabad FC

Similar to a couple of other teams in the Indian Super League (ISL), Hyderabad FC (HFC) also had a quiet time in the sponsorship market before the start of the 2020/21 campaign. The South Indian ISL franchise managed to clinch eight sponsorship deals in the last three months.

The club signed a new kit sponsor for the 2020/21 season. They reached an agreement with Indian brand T-10 Sports to create training and first-team kit. Similar to FC Goa, Hyderabad FC has also shown faith in an Indian sports apparel brand to design kits for the new campaign. Along with T-10 Sport, HFC also signed a deal with Indian apparel brand SIN Denim.

The Hyderabad-based club signed an agreement with Polyhose to make them one of the leading sponsors of the club. Polyhose features on the back side of the jersey. For the title sponsorship, HFC joined hands with Andslite. The solar panel producer gets the larger coverage on the first team kit, featuring on the front side of the shirt.

HFC also brought another Indian brand on board as an associate sponsor. The club completed a deal with one of India’s biggest Electronics distributors Vijay Sales after the start of the new campaign. Vijay Sale is set to get exposure during the tournament by featuring on the first team kit. Other associate sponsors for HFC are Ultimate Goal Sports and The Good Sport Company. UG Sports masters in manufacturing sports gear. The South Indian club also joined a long list of ISL clubs to partner with BKT tyres for the new season.

Apart from these sponsorship deals, Hyderabad FC managed to negotiate two important deals with foreign clubs. The first deal is massive for the club and football in India as they are set to work with Borussia Dortmund. The two parties have signed a two-year deal, but Dortmund has an option to extend it until 2025. This partnership will focus on improving young players at HFC. Dortmund is well known in Europe to nurture young players and turn them into world-class players.

Along with Dortmund, HFC also signed a three-year deal with Marbella FC, which will see them using the training ground of the Spanish club for pre-season preparations in the future. Both clubs will also together to help in improving young players through this strategic alliance.
