The English Football League (EFL) club, Ipswich Town FC have signed a partnership with the British law firm, Birketts.

As per the accord, Birketts has been named the new sponsor of the club’s Portman Road Boardroom.

Through this deal, the branding of the law firm will be placed on the boardroom door at Portman Road. The logo will also be there on the front and back of the match day sheets.

Tom Ball, Chief Financial Officer, Ipswich Town FC, commented, “We are delighted Birketts is sponsoring the Boardroom at Portman Road. We have a strong relationship with Birketts, a company based close to Portman Road and one that shares many of our values, with their support coming at what is an exciting time for the Club both on and off the pitch.”

Andy Woodridge, Town’s Commercial Director, said, “Growing our portfolio of partners is a key strategic area for the Club. As much as the growth in volume of partners is something we aspire to, adding the right businesses is of utmost importance. We feel Birketts ticks all the right boxes, in being an ambitious organisation and a major player in the Suffolk business community.”

Alexandra Nelson and Oliver Crichton, Partners, Birketts, said, “We are proud to be the Boardroom sponsors at Portman Road this season. Birketts has a long history with the Football Club, having been based in Ipswich for over 160 years and with our office located just over the road from the Club. We are delighted to see the fantastic progress being made by the Club both on and off the pitch and look forward to being part of what we all hope is a successful journey this season in the Championship.”

Birketts LLP is one of the oldest legal firms in the UK. In 1863, Benjamin Birkett established the business. The firm is frequently cited by the mainstream media for comments and counsel on significant cases.

The Tractor Boys are currently showing their top-class performance in the ongoing season of EFL. The club is standing in the second spot of the league table. The unit will be facing Birmingham City FC on Saturday, November 4.
