IPL 2021: Punjab Kings signs partnership deal with GoAir

GoAir has signed a deal with Punjab Kings to become the official airline partner for IPL 2021. PBKS will also publicise the GoAir logo for marketing and promotions on their website and both sides would advertise each other on social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. 

Kaushik Khona, Chief Executive Officer of GoAir, said, “IPL is undoubtedly the most-watched sports tournament in India and around the world, providing GoAir the perfect platform to connect with millions of people. GoAir is delighted to team up with Punjab Kings as their official airline partner and we wish PBKS emerges a strong contender for the top slot this year.”

It is also said that the official merchandise of PBKS would be up on sale on GoAir’s official website www.goair.in through T10 sports and Fan code. Moreover, the people who booked their flights from goair.in or GoAir mobile app would stand a chance to win 15 Punjab Kings jerseys. Jerseys and caps will also be sold on board too. 

While commenting on this deal, Punjab Kings CEO Mr. Satish Menon, “We are pleased to have GoAir on board as the team’s official Airline Partner for IPL 2021. Partnering with the GoAir was the ‘smart’ choice as we at Punjab Kings believe in playing a smart brand of cricket. We are grateful for their support and trust that GoAir will help us in our journey this season. His presence is a celebration and we just want to add to that with our performances on the field.”

Punjab Kings is enduring a tough IPL 2021 as they remain fifth in the points table with six points. They suffered a heavy defeat against Delhi Capitals on Sunday. However, they have received a big boost ahead of the decisive few weeks in IPL 2021. It was initially suggested that KL Rahul will miss rest of the tournament due to acute appendicitis, but ESPNcricinfo is suggesting that Rahul could start training with his teammates from next week.
