The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has announced a brand-new partnership with the Indian shoe company, Liberty Shoes.
Following the deal, Liberty Shoes has been named the official formal shoe partner of the Indian contingent during the upcoming Asian Games 2022.
Speaking upon this collaboration, Dr PT Usha, President of IOA, commented, “Liberty Shoes will lend a smart touch to the ceremonial dress that has been designed for the members of the Indian team for the opening and closing ceremonies.
She also stated, “IOA, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, our National Sports Federations and Sports Authority of India have left no stone unturned to assist the athletes in their preparation for the Games”.
Shammi Bansal, Spokesperson of Liberty Shoes, said, “We could not have found a greater opportunity to showcase our brand before the world than the ceremonies in the Asian Games in Hangzhou. We are delighted that IOA has chosen Liberty Shoes as its partner ahead of the continental sporting showpiece”.
Before this development, IOA had also linked alliances with JSW Inspire, Reliance Foundation, Adani Sportsline, Borosil, Skechers, Amul, SFA, Inox Group and Samsonite.
Founded in 1954, Liberty Shoes is an Indian shoe company that is currently headquartered in Karnal, Haryana. The company’s six manufacturing plants create 60,000 pairs of footwear per day. The shoes are sold through the company’s multi-brand stores and showrooms. The company is present in 25 countries and has 50 showrooms outside of India.
The 19th edition of the Asian Games 2022 will start on September 23, 2023, and will end on October 8, 2023, in Hangzhou, China.
