India vs Sri Lanka 2nd Test: Match preview and head-to-head

In the head-to-head competition between the two teams in Test, India has the upper hand.

In the Sri Lanka tour of India, the second Test match will be a Day/Night fixture that will be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on March 12 at 2:00 PM IST. India currently leads the bilateral series 1-0.

The hosts will be heading into this fixture on the back of a scintillating 222-run victory in the first game in Mohali. The Indian team seems to have found a perfect allrounder in the form of Ravindra Jadeja. The southpaw smashed 175* and also pocketed nine wickets in the game including a fifer. Jadeja single-handedly decimated the Lankans. Rohit Sharma, who is currently playing his first Test series as a full-time captain will look to clean sweep the visitors by clinching the Day/Night Test.

On the other hand, in the second Test, Sri Lanka will be facing a bigger challenge of playing against the in-form Indians in a Day/Night fixture. There wasn’t much fightback from the tourists in the first Test. The Dimuth Karunaratne-led Sri Lankan team has to come up with something special to outplay the Indians in Bengaluru.
