The star Indian leg-spinner, who represents India in white ball cricket, Yuzvendra Chahal turned 32 today i.e. July 23. 

Chahal has emerged as one of the finest limited-overs spinners in modern-day cricket over the years. The cunning spin bowler made his international debut on June 11, 2016, in the ODI format against Zimbabwe and eight days later, the cricketer also represented India in the shortest format for the first time against the same opponent. Chahal is the only sportsperson to represent India in cricket and chess.

In ODIs, Chahal has played 65 matches and pocketed 113 wickets while in T20Is, he is featured in 62 fixtures and registered 79 scalps. 

Chahal rose to prominence when he was picked by the Indian Premier League (IPL) team, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 2014 auction. He went on to become the linchpin for Virat Kohli‘s RCB before he was released by the team ahead of the 2022 mega auction. He was picked by Rajasthan Royals (RR) for IPL 2022, the spinner emerged as the highest wicket-taker and won the Purple Cap. 

Along with the cricket field, Chahal has also made a mark in pop culture and on the commercial field. Yuzvendra Chahal’s net worth is a whopping INR 37 crore. The majority of his income is supported through the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) contract, IPL salary and endorsement deals. 

Chahal comes under the Grace C category of the BCCI, which pays him INR 1 crore annually. In the IPL, Chahal was bought by RR earlier this year for INR 6.5 crore. 

Endorsements and collaborations:

The Haryana-born cricketer is really conscious about his brand endorsements. Earlier in interviews, he had mentioned that he endorses only those brands that suit his personality. 

The 32-year-old currently has deals with Nike, Acuvue, and Clove Dental. 

The former chess player has also teamed up with several different kinds of organisations for creative purposes. He has joined Rooter as a content creator and teamed up with Moj for augmenting cricket fever in India.

Chahal partnered up with High Times Solutions (HTS) in 2019 to commence his entrepreneurial journey with the launch of his lifestyle brand, CheQmate. 


Chahal donated INR 90,000 to Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma‘s ketto relief fund. 

The talented cricketer also took on the former chess champion, Vishwanath Anand in a charity chess match to raise funds for COVID-19.
