Fulham FC score an alliance with GRIDSERVE

GRIDSERVE has been named the electric vehicle partner of Fulham FC for the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons.

The Premier League (PL) club, Fulham FC have unveiled an association with the Buckinghamshire-headquartered company, GRIDSERVE.

In this development, GRIDSERVE has been named the electric vehicle partner of the team for the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons. The British company will supply a fleet of Tesla Model Y electric cars and install charging points at Craven Cottage and Motspur Park, as per the pact with the English top-flight club.

In total ten charging points will be stationed, each enabled with the capacity of up to 22kW alternating current charging. The visitors can avail of the chargers at the training ground with a contactless payment.

Rob Buckland, GRIDSERVE Chief Leasing Officer, said, “Fulham FC may be London’s Original Football Club but it’s well and truly thinking of the future with how it approaches sustainability – and that’s why the club is a perfect fit for us. We hope the partnership will not only help decarbonise the team’s activities off the pitch, but also encourage fans to make the switch, in turn helping us to move the needle on climate change.”

Jon Don-Carolis, Fulham Football Club Commercial Director, added, “The Club has made significant and demonstrable progress towards sustainability in recent years, and we strongly believe that sustainability partnerships are key to delivering change at scale. With their award-winning charging network and commitment to planet friendly energy, we’ve found a partner to be proud of in GRIDSERVE.”

GRIDSERVE, founded in 2017, is owned by Gridserve Holdings Limited. The main objective of the venture is to develop, own and operate infrastructure for sustainable energy production.

Prior to this development, the Fulham-based club also teamed up with SBOTOP and Royal Caribbean International.

In the previous Premier League edition, the Cottagers finished 10th in the points table and will look to do better in the forthcoming edition, which commences on August 12.
