Everything to know about India tour of West Indies 2023

The two Tests between India - West Indies will be a part of the World Test Championship cycle 2023-2025.

The highly anticipated comeback of the Men in Blue is all set to happen with their West Indies tour which kicks off on Wednesday i.e. July 12.

Team India will embark on an all-format tour of the West Indies following the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final 2023. India will play two Tests, three ODIs and five T20Is in the Caribbean and the United States. The series will conclude on August 13.

The two Tests will be a part of the World Test Championship cycle 2023-2025. The previous time the Rohit Sharma-led side toured the West Indies, they defeated them 3-0 in ODI and 4-1 in T20Is. Moreover, India last competed in a Test match in the Caribbean way back in 2019.

The first Test is scheduled to take place in Windsor Park in Dominica from July 12 to 16, and the second Test will take place at Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad from July 20 to 24. Notably, the second Test match will also mark the historic 100th Test between India and the West Indies. The first-ever Test match between the two sides was played way back in 1948 in Delhi.

On July 27 and 29, the Kensington Oval in Barbados will host the first two ODIs and Trinidad’s Brian Lara Stadium will host the final match on August 1.

All the Test matches will commence at 7:30 PM IST while the ODI matches will begin at 7:00 PM IST.

On August 3, the T20I series will begin in Trinidad. On August 6 and 8, respectively, the remaining two games will be played in Guyana. To complete the tour and play the final two T20Is on August 12 and 13, respectively, both sides will fly to Florida, USA. The start time for the T20I contests is 8 PM IST.
