ECB adds SunGod as official sunglasses supplier in multi-year alliance

SunGod will provide the ECB players with market-leading eyewear both on and off the pitch, as well as collaborate with the teams to produce a limited edition England cricket sunglasses line.

The central governing body of cricket in England and Wales, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced a partnership with SunGod, a performance eyewear brand.

As part of the deal, the British performance eyewear brand has become the official sunglasses supplier of the ECB.

SunGod will provide the players with market-leading eyewear both on and off the pitch, as well as collaborate with the teams to produce a limited-edition England cricket sunglasses line. This will be available later this summer, enabling supporters to express their support for the team.

Furthermore, SunGod will also provide performance eyeglasses with 100% UV protection, ultra-flexible frames, and improved visual clarity to the England men’s, women’s, and disability teams. Players can expect the best possible performance and comfort from the brand’s distinguished sunglasses as they prepare for a summer of intense cricket competition.

SunGod’s web store will be the source for Limited Edition Official England Cricket sunglasses that England fans can purchase in the upcoming months.

To add more to this, SunGod began as a challenger brand in 2013 and has since developed into a well-known performance eyewear company on a worldwide scale. SunGod promotes equality between people, the environment, and profit as a recognised B Corp, a member of 1% For The Planet, and a company with carbon-neutral goods and operations.

Remarkably, the company also creates and provides eyeglasses to some of the world’s top-performance Formula 1 teams, such as Williams Racing and McLaren Racing.

Alex Perkins, Commercial Director, ECB, said, “We are delighted to agree this new partnership with SunGod. We look forward to working with them, as an Official Sunglasses Supplier, to create an officially licensed range for England fans, giving them the opportunity to get their hands on the same products that they see their favourite players wearing on the pitch.”

David Rogal, Partnerships Director at SunGod, said, “This partnership is incredibly exciting as it means the opportunity to develop our product offering even further with the support and feedback of some of the world’s best athletes on-field. The heritage of the sport, and how deeply ingrained it is in the British sporting calendar every summer also presents an opportunity for SunGod to connect with a huge number of fans on a new level.”
