McLaren Racing expands association with SunGod

The expansion will kick off in the inaugural season of the McLaren Extreme E Team in the race series

The Formula 1 team, McLaren Racing has announced an expansion of the deal with an eyewear company, SunGod as an official fan eyewear licensee of the McLaren MX Extreme E Team from 2022.

The expansion will kick off in the inaugural season of the McLaren Extreme E Team in the race series, which aims to highlight secluded environments threatened by global warming. McLaren and SunGod’s shared conservation values are reflected in the partnership’s expansion. SunGod is a carbon-neutral firm that has strived to create better, more viable eyewear since its inception.

McLaren and SunGod will launch new 2022 limited-edition models created in partnership with McLaren F1 drivers Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo. SunGod’s premium 8KO lens technology and ultra-durable Adventureproof frame will be merged in each pair of sunglasses, along with a McLaren-branded lens engraving.

As part of the deal, SunGod branding will appear on the helmets of Norris and Ricciardo beginning with the 2022 Formula One season.
