Dutch fans to receive live AFCON action on Ziggo Sport for upcoming two years

Ziggo Sport will broadcast Africa Cup of Nations from January 13 to February 14, 2024, which will be held in Ivory Coast.

The Dutch pay-TV broadcaster, Ziggo Sport has secured the exclusive rights to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in the Netherlands.

With this arrangement, Ziggo Sport will telecast the upcoming two seasons (2024 and 2025) across its TV channels, and Ziggo Go app, and Ziggo Sport Totaal will be streaming the tournament on its digital portal.

Marcel Beerthuizen, Ziggo Sport Director, said, “AFCON is a great tournament with spectacular matches that fans enjoy and that is closely followed by many people in the Netherlands. It is unique that two editions take place in a row [in consecutive years]. It is a wonderful addition to our already extensive football offering.”

The 24 greatest African national teams will compete for the title of champion in AFCON 2024, which is being hosted in Ivory Coast. Ziggo Sport will broadcast the competition from January 13 to February 14.

In the Netherlands, VodafoneZiggo owns and operates Ziggo Sport, a sports television channel. It provides a weekly conversation show called “Peptalk,” films and documentaries about sports, and a range of sports with an emphasis on important sporting events. The TV channel is exclusively accessible to Ziggo users.
