Disney Star onboards Hero MotoCorp as official broadcast sponsor for IPL 2024 coverage

Disney Star, the official broadcaster of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, has announced a partnership with Hero MotoCorp, a leading Indian two-wheeler manufacturer.

Hero secured the coveted position of official broadcast sponsor for the remainder of IPL 2024.

The announcement, made via Star Sports‘ LinkedIn page, marks a significant collaboration between the mega-popular cricket tournament and the renowned automotive giant.

The IPL, known for its intense competition and passionate fan following, continues to enthral audiences nationwide, as evidenced by the ever-growing viewership figures.

According to the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC), the media company has recorded an impressive 49 crore viewers after 42 matches. The “El Clasico” of the IPL, the clash between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on April 14, 2024, garnered a massive 8.4 Television Rating (TVR), further solidifying the league’s dominance.

This strategic partnership between the IPL and Hero MotoCorp marks another milestone for the tournament. Moreover, it follows Hero’s recent announcement with JioCinema, the league’s official digital streaming platform, as the associate sponsor for the IPL 2024 coverage.

The announcement comes on the heels of tonight‘s match, in which Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will face Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad at 7:30 PM IST.
