DAZN Canada obtains exclusive rights extension to UEFA Champions League

DAZN Canada secured the rights to the UEFA Champions League for the first time in 2018.

The multinational sports and entertainment OTT platform, DAZN Canada has retained exclusive rights to the UEFA Champions League in Canada.

With this retention, the streaming platform will be broadcasting all the UCL encounters for the next three seasons (2024-25 season to 2026-27 season). 

The multinational OTT company secured the rights for the first time in 2018.

Team Marketing, UEFA’s partner agency for media and commercial rights sales throughout its club competitions, is in charge of handling media rights sales for the 2024–2027 season. The Canadian tender process was started in October of last year.

The DAZN Group, primarily owned by Access Industries, is responsible for managing the global over-the-top sports streaming service DAZN. The Perform Group acquired the DAZN Group and started to operate it in 2016.
