An internet chess server and social networking website, Chess.com has announced the five-time World Chess Champion, Viswanathan Anand, as its brand ambassador.
The 54-year-old will provide his expertise to the chess platform starting in 2024 and going beyond.
Anand aspires to increase chess’s appeal and promote the game both at home and internationally. With this association, Anand will be making frequent appearances on the Chess.com channels.
Chess.com is an online platform committed to chess and the millions of players worldwide who adore the game. According to the latest numbers, Chess.com currently has over 13 million registered users in India, representing a 400% increase in overall users since 2019. Chess.com has also witnessed a 90x increase in viewing from India on its YouTube channels.
On the deal, Viswanathan Anand said, “Chess is exploding in India right now and there are millions of people wanting to play, watch, and improve their game.
