The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has inked a collaboration with the American multinational financial services corporation, Visa.
Following this new deal, the brand has been named the official and exclusive payment partner for several CAF competitions.
This collaboration will cover the following CAF tournaments: the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Côte d’Ivoire 2023, the CAF AFCON Morocco 2025, the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) 2024, and the CAF WAFCON 2026.
Visa’s legacy of inspiring athletes and creating a world that is inclusive through sport will be carried on with the CAF African Schools Football Championship.
With Visa serving as the only payment provider for the CAF AFCON Côte d’Ivoire 2023, African football’s fervent and devoted fans and viewers will be connected through one-of-a-kind and life-changing events.
The Player Escort Program, which Visa will introduce for the competition, will provide kids between the ages of 8 and 12 with a once-in-a-lifetime chance to accompany their favourite players on the field before the games.
During the CAF AFCON Côte d’Ivoire 2023, 24 African national teams will compete in 52 games throughout six stadiums, with Visa offering digital payment technologies at all venues for online and in-person ticket purchases.
