The apex bodies of football in Asia and Africa, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and Confederation of African Football (CAF) have signed a partnership with the Saudi Arabia tourism board, Visit Saudi.
Following the partnership, Visit Saudi has been named the official global partner of AFC national team tournaments and the main sponsor of CAF’s African Football League (AFL).
The AFC and Visit Saudi will work together on activations and advertising campaigns for the national team contests, with engagements taking place at these events and in Saudi Arabia.
The CAF will be organizing AFL from October 20 to November 11. The governing body of football in Africa has stated that its association with the Saudi tourism entity will be acting as a link between two entities that are very passionate about the game of football. It also said that the body will also extend its partnership in the upcoming AFL seasons.
Datuk Seri Windsor John, General Secretary of the AFC, said, “The AFC is pleased to welcome Visit Saudi as our latest official global partner, which once again reiterates the ever-growing stature and profound impact of the AFC’s world-class national teams’ competitions in reaching audiences across the globe.”
