Bombay Play raises $7 million in funding round led by Kalaari Capital

Leo Capital, PlayCo and Lumikai, who are the existing investors were also involved in the funding round.

Bombay Play, the game development studio in its Series A funding round led by Kalaari Capital with participation from investors such as WinZO, AdvantEdge VC, AMEA Ventures has raised $7 million.

Leo Capital, PlayCo and Lumikai, who are the existing investors were also involved in the funding round. Following this funding round, Bombay Play raised over $9.5 million in capital so far along with $1.5 million raised in June 2020 and $1 million in a round in December 2020.

Bombay Play was founded by Abhas Saroha and Oliver Jones in 2018. The organization currently has 50 staff and aims to double it. The game concentrates on the hypersocial gaming genre, i.e. HTML5-based casual games that are developed with a social-first approach and are easy to play across different platforms.
