Allianz Australia, Paralympics Australia extend partnership beyond Paris 2024

Allianz Australia will continue to be Paralympics Australia's official insurance partner beyond the Paris Paralympic Games until at least December 2024.

Paralympics Australia has announced a sponsorship renewal with Australia’s largest general insurer, Allianz Australia. The deal which began in 2011 will continue to support the Australian Paralympic movement.

Allianz Australia will continue to be Paralympics Australia’s official insurance partner beyond the 2024 Paralympic Games until at least December 2024, owing to the agreement renewal. Moreover, Allianz will also be an official sponsor of the World Champion Australian Steelers wheelchair rugby team through at least the end of 2023.

The Allianz Australia Group has a presence in both Australia and New Zealand. It consists of one of Australia’s major general insurers, a premier private workers’ compensation insurer, and a life insurer. Allianz Australia offers an extensive selection of personal, commercial, and corporate insurance products and services.

Paralympics Australia Chief Executive Catherine Clark, said, “With Allianz as our Official Insurance Partner we know we’re in the best hands possible. What makes our relationship with Allianz so much stronger is that we have common values and common goals around inclusivity and accessibility. Allianz has done tremendous work around mental health and wellbeing, which Paralympics Australia has engaged with and supported. They are also looking to change the narrative to make sport open to everyone through programs including their recently launched #CoachForAll campaign, which features Paralympic legend Louise Sauvage and provides inclusivity training for coaches of all levels.

Allianz has been a global partner of the International Paralympic Committee since 2006, and in 2021 it became a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic insurance partner. In recent years, its engagement with the Paralympic movement has centred on welfare, with the goal of connecting communities for good via sport.
