As another major sporting season begins, the sportswear company, Adidas continues its ‘Impossible Is Nothing’ campaign by announcing its largest-ever commitment to women. The brand will support those who are breaking down barriers and driving gender equality, both on and off the field of play.
Speaking on the launch, Sunil Gupta, Senior Director, Brand Adidas, India said, “Impossible Is Nothing isn’t just a campaign – it’s our brand attitude; the essence of who we are and what we stand for. In 2022 we reaffirm our commitment to women. And as part of this commitment, this season’s Impossible Is Nothing campaign is led by the stories of women who have made it impossible possible, to inspire others to do the same under the “I’m Possible” message. Adidas will continue to be their ally, committed to serving them through innovation in our products and partnerships”
This campaign will be launched globally with a film series featuring a diverse portfolio of eminent women from sport, fitness, and lifestyle. Deepika Padukone, Mirabai Chanu, Lovlina Borgohain, and a few other inspiring women will appear in the Indian campaign. By collaborating with them, Adidas will continue to advocate for real and long-term change by making the sport more accessible and inclusive to all women in India.
The first two videos, which were released on Adidas India’s Instagram page, featured trailblazing women from various industries who have proven that the impossible is indeed possible. The video features the Squid Game model and actress HoYeon Jung and so does writer, Jessamyn Stanley, author and activist Amani, graphic designer and illustrator, Naomi Otsu, environmental organiser, Isra Hirsi, model and disability representation advocate, Ellie Goldstein, and many others.
Adidas also stated that in 2022, it will launch women-focused products to accelerate its mission to create real and long-term change for women in sport.
