Vodafone provides a hefty sponsorship to Oceania Netball World Cup Qualifiers

Financial assistance, training kits and equipment, communication devices, and WiFi connectivity are all part of the sponsorship deal between the two entities.

One of the world’s leading telecommunications companies, Vodafone has announced a new sponsorship agreement with the Oceania Netball World Cup Qualifiers. Following the deal, the telecom giants have provided $40,000 in sponsorship to the tournament which is scheduled to take place from July 19 to 23.

Financial assistance, training kits and equipment, communication devices, and WiFi connectivity are all part of the sponsorship deal between the two entities. Along with this, Vodafone will also be the event’s telecommunications partner.

According to Chief Marketing Officer Rajnesh Prasad, they have a longstanding collaboration with various sporting bodies throughout the country to develop sports in various domains.

Moreover, he claimed that they have joined forces with the purpose of encouraging more women in sports. Mr Prasad also stated that through this sponsorship, they will provide the Qualifier with the necessary funding and marketing.

Wainikiti Bogidrau, President of the Oceania Netball Federation, explained the assistance is timely because they were searching for a sponsor. Bogidrau described sponsorship as an investment in women and equality.

Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Samoa, and the Cook Islands are among the teams competing.

All teams will play against each other once, and the top two teams will qualify for the Netball World Cup in South Africa next year.
