The Pakistan Super League (PSL) outfit, Lahore Qalandars has entered into a strategic partnership with the popular video game series, PUBG Mobile. For the upcoming PSL season 7, PUBG Mobile will be Lahore’s esports partner.

PUBG is a multiplayer online battle game created and published by the PUBG Corporation, a Krafton subsidiary.

Atif Rana, CEO of the Lahore Qalandars, believes that this strategic collaboration with PUBG Mobile will be a help in the promotion of esports in Pakistan. Lahore’s goal is to endorse esports in Pakistan and grow the business from 15 to 50 million users.

Lahore Qalandars announced this new agreement on its official social media handles. The post read, “We are proud to announce PUBG Mobile officially becomes Esports Partner of Lahore Qalandar! PUBG MOBILE, to bring new, exciting and exclusive in-game features to Cricket fans.”

The PSL is set to begin on January 27 and all six franchises are in readiness for the battle. Lahore is the only team without a PSL title and therefore, the team will be resolute to win its maiden PSL trophy in front of the home crowd at the Gaddafi Stadium.

Lahore Qalandars will take on Multan Sultans in its first outing of the PSL season 7 on January 29 at the National Stadium Karachi.

Last month, Qalandars also signed a new deal with Yorkshire County Cricket Club. Both teams will have a player exchange programme where international players can learn from one another.
