UFC teams up with Anker to strengthen fan presence in MEA region

Anker will work to improve the fan experience at UFC events in the area by integrating charging technology into venues for fans in attendance.

The world’s premier mixed martial arts organization, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has announced a new partnership with the mobile charging brand, Anker.

With this agreement, the company has been branded UFC’s official charging partner, with the partnership primarily geared towards catering to fans in the Middle East and Africa (MEA).

As per the deal, Anker will work to improve the fan experience at UFC events in the area by integrating charging technology into venues for fans in attendance.

Anker’s power delivery systems, which are known for their speed and dependability, were a major reason for the UFC’s interest, as they matched well with the UFC’s common philosophy of relentless pursuit of speed, power, and extraordinary performance.

Faisal Shah, General Manager of Anker Innovations MEA, said, “Our collaboration with UFC is a powerful reflection of Anker’s dedication to innovation and excellence. At Anker, we’re not just about charging devices; we’re about energising lives and enhancing the experience of every user with speed, efficiency, and reliability. This partnership goes beyond technology; it’s about charging up the spirit of competition and resilience that defines both Anker and UFC.

“Aligning with the UFC for their landmark event in Saudi Arabia symbolises our shared passion for pushing the envelope and setting new benchmarks. We are thrilled to bring our advanced charging technology to the epicentre of the action, ensuring that fans and athletes remain connected to what matters most.”

Notably, Anker will provide extensive coverage of the UFC’s maiden event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, next June, which will be highlighted by a middleweight contest between Robert Whittaker and Khamzat Chimaev.

Moreover, the UFC has increased its activities in the MEA area in recent years, with many PPV and Fight Night events conducted in Abu Dhabi. The Riyadh show will be followed by UFC Fight Night on August 3 and UFC 308 on October 26, both of which will take place in Abu Dhabi.

Nick Smith, Vice President, Head of International Business Development, Global Partnership of UFC & WWE, commented, “We’re delighted to collaborate with Anker and be their first ever partnership in sports. Anker is an innovative brand with pioneering charging solutions in a key region for our business, the Middle East. Similar to UFC, Anker is a trailblazing brand that makes industry first moves.”

Recently, UFC also developed agreements with Hostage Tape, Sportz Interactive19 CrimesSmith+Nephew, and Venum.
